Am I A Boring Traveler?

I recently tried to plan a trip to Fiji with a friend of mine. During the planning stages, it became so obvious that we wouldn’t travel well together but we decided to go through with it anyways.
The problem was that he wanted to do all of these adventurous things on the trip, have a huge Fiji adventure planned with lots of events. I just wanted to go to a nice Fiji resort for a few days where I could lounge around with a stack of magazines and a tropical cocktail.
My friend kept trying to schedule diving expeditions and hiking adventures. I like those things, but just felt that on this vacation I wanted to relax. I decided to compromise and do a few of the events, but that I wanted at least 3 days of no activities at all! My friend wasn’t very keen on that idea, so we decided to spend a few days apart while we were in Fiji. That’s what friendship is all about right, meeting in the middle?
Am I really a boring traveler? Or do I just know what makes me happy on a trip?
