Repairing Network Attached Scanners

Out of all of the jobs that I have had over the years, my current position with a document imaging company would have to be the easiest and most challenging yet. I know that might not make a lot of sense, but give me the chance to explain it to you, okay?
You see, at this company we sell a lot of network attached scanners to our clients. Most of the clients are large corporate clients that depend on our scanners and software to help them manage their documents and files. It is really quite amazing as to what they can do with our solutions, and it is nice to think that we are having a positive impact on the environment. In that respect, working for them is one of the most rewarding experiences that I have ever had.
But it isn’t all roses. You see, I repair the scanners that we sell, and sometimes fixing them can be very frustrating. I don’t know if you have ever repaired any kind of electronics, but sometimes the problem isn’t readily apparent. But it is very important to figure out the problem before ordering the parts since the replacement parts are very expensive. If I misdiagnose the problem, then our company takes the loss, and too many mistakes would be the end of my job.
Don’t get me wrong – I love what I do even though I might get a little frustrated at times.
