Unsure of What To Do With Things

When my grandmother passed away last month it was left up to me to take care of her house and its contents. I was her favorite grandchild and had been helping out with her care for the last five years of her life. She left a detailed will of what she wanted everyone to have and after that was taken care of, I was unsure of what to do with the rest of her belongings. Her house was being sold to take care of some outstanding bills so I didn’t have a lot of time to make my decision.
I finally decided that I simply needed more time to figure out what to do. I know there were still some things of Gram’s that her children and other grand kids wanted. I decided to rent a self storage unit and put everything in it until I had the time and energy to go through it all. I contacted a local Phoenix storage facility and was happy to hear that I could rent the unit out on a month by month basis, rather than having to lease it for a year. My brothers helped me move everything and I feel a lot less stressed by the situation now. Gram’s belongings are safe until the family can come together and help me go through her things.
