K9 Officer Screw Up

There was a K9 police officer here that forgot his partner, the dog, was in his patrol car last summer after finishing a shift. So when he got home, he just left the dog in his car. I guess he must not have noticed the big “K9” label on the driver’s side door of his car or something when he closed it because they do get to take their squad cars home with them. Well of course the dog cooked to death in the car because it happened in Phoenix Arizona where it gets up around 115 degrees in the summer!
Now as for me, I have had no formal training in how to properly care for a dog. Nobody held my hand while I was figuring out where to buy discount pet supplies like that Advantage flea stuff I use on my dog. And I had to figure out for myself how to correct him from jumping by using one of those electronic training collars.
However, I’m pretty sure this cop had all kinds of formal training when it came to caring for his dog. I know that these police departments spend thousands of dollars (our tax dollars) not only training the dogs, but also training the handlers. Yet apparently they forgot to teach this clown not to leave his dog in the car after his shift was over during the summer in Phoenix.
