My Funny Son

My son is so funny sometimes. I have been going to college part time to get my degree in Business. It has taken me 7 years to get my degree, but I finally got to graduate. Anyway, I was telling my wife that I was going to look at some university diploma frames. My son overhead this and said that he would build me one.My son is 9 years old and normally you wouldn’t let a 9 year old do something like this. However, my son is actually pretty hand for a 9 year old. I worked construction most of my life and he has been around tools since he was a baby. He can actually build some small items better than men three times his age.
Anyway, I got my diploma from college and I asked my son to go ahead and make the frame. He then asked if he could make the graduation picture frame instead. I agreed to this immediately as I really didn’t want to hurt his feelings if the frame wasn’t usable for the diploma. If the graduation picture frame wasn’t any good, I could just put that on my den desk as a special memento. It didn’t take him long to make the frame, but then I found out why he wanted to make the frame. He found a unique way to summarize my graduation from college. When I got the frame, it had the picture of me in my cap and gown with the caption, “Dad in a dress.” I hung it in the living room.
