My Birthday

My sixteenth birthday is right around the corner and instead of asking for a new Saturn or something lame like that, I am going to ask my mom to buy me a day bed!
If you haven’t seen a day bed, dude, they are the coolest things! They can double as a couch or a place to sit and they can have an extra pull out bed in case someone stays over for a slumber party. And, some day beds have drawers so you have more space for all your clothing and stuff.
My room is way small and beds that are larger than a twin are going to crowd my space. If I get rid of the big mattress I currently have in my room and put in a daybed, I could have enough space for a small makeup table that could double as a desk. In fact, I should sell the desk-space idea to my parents and make it sound all noble like my real goal is to have an organized spot for my homework. I also want to paint my room this really awesome green color and add all kinds of bright pillows. I saw this episode of Trading Spaces Boys vs. Girls and I think the paint color I want is the same color they used.

I had a daybed when I was in highschool and it was awsome. When I had my friends sleep over they had their own bed. I also had a very small room so it was nice because when my friends were not sleeping over I could put the their bed under my bed and my room had so much more room!
I have never heard of a girl wanting a daybed for her 16th birthday. I think it is great. I had a daybed when I was young and I loved it. I had that bed until I went to college. I really wanted to take my bed with me but I couldnt. I hope your mom gets you the daybed!
I bought my daughter a daybed for her 17th birthday and she loved it. Her room is very small so having a bed that is smaller made her room feel bigger. I hope you get your day bed for your birthday.
My son had a day bed when he was little and he loved it. It had drawers on the bottom of it so he could put all of his toys in the bottom of his bed. My daughter also wants one for her 15th birthday. I am going to go get one this weekend! I hope you get yours! Happy birthday.
