It’s Halloween and you don’t have a costume for your kid! Anyone with kids knows that’s practically the end of the world. What will you do?
Here are some ideas for last minute Halloween costumes for kids.
- Ghost. All you need is an old white sheet. Cut it to size, cut holes out for eyes, and hey presto! you’ve got a ghost.
- Mummy. A quickie mummy costume also starts with an old white sheet.
- Princess. It doesn’t compare to the Disney costumes you buy at the store, but most little girls have enough dress-up clothes and other items in their closets to come up with a princess outfit. All you need is a pretty dress, fancy shoes, a crown (or something you can pretend is a crown), and some pretty jewelry.
- Farmer. If your child has a pair of denim overalls in his or her closet and a button-down shirt, you can probably put together a farmer outfit pretty quickly. Just get the jeans dirty and give the kid a shovel or a hoe to carry around!
- Slasher. Hey, if you’ve got a Scream or Jason mask, just put that on your child with a black hooded sweatshirt and you’re done. You can also use a regular hockey mask or make a mask yourselves!
As you can see, there are plenty of last-minute Halloween costumes you can come up with, just with the things already in your child’s closet.
