Nowadays, RC helicopters are becoming just as popular as cars that are remote controlled. The idea of having the control over an object that flies through the air is exciting to most people, therefore the hobby is growing and growing. Once you decide that you want to take up the hobby of flying an RC helicopter, the first step is to choose what helicopter best suits what you want.
Just like with a nitro radio controlled car, helicopters come with a lot of options and features as well. For instance, there are apache helicopters that are designed after the helicopters used in the military. These machines are agile and easy to fly. If you are looking to simply collect helicopters as opposed to actually fly them, then you are probability not all that concerned with how much power the helicopter has. However, if you are looking to race helicopters are looking for the fastest and most powerful helicopters available.
In addition to racing helicopters there are also ones that are built to be agile and sleek in order to fly through obstacle courses. If you are up for a challenge and enjoy obstacle courses, then speed will not be as much of a factor for you as agility.
