‘Tis the Season

With summer nearly halfway over, I feel compelled to mention that it is building season — so if you want to build a garage or a custom home, it’s either start now or wait until next year.
I was reading something the other day that mentioned how long it takes to build just a detached garage — seven months, I think it was. I was really surprised that it takes so long. My husband and I have been wanting to build a garage, but it seems that if we don’t hire a FL custom home builder soon, we might as well wait until next year.
And of course, if it’s a custom home you’re wanting to build, you’ll need to leave even longer a period of time. Most good custom luxury home builders in FL should be able to give you a reasonable estimate of how long it should take, so start interviewing FL luxury home builders soon to help you plan accordingly.
As for me and my husband… Well, I’m not altogether sure we’ll be building a garage this year. We’d planned to, but realistically we would need to refinance in order to get the money to do that. With real estate values being a little depressed right now, I’m not so sure that’s a good idea!
