My Trainer’s Pregnancy

My horse trainer — who has been with me and my horse since the very beginning, when he had absolutely no training on him whatsoever — recently had a baby.  She got pregnant last summer, and continued to ride all the way up until something like five months — something I totally admire her for.  She stopped at that point because the doctor wanted her to, but she said she probably would have anyway, as it was starting to get quite uncomfortable.

Anyway, she was just the cutest little pregnant lady you’ve ever seen.  She is short and small, like me — just 5 foot 3 and probably 115 or 120.  So when she was pregnant, she looked like this petite little lady with a basketball under her shirt.

I hope I’m as good about my pregnancy, when I have kids, as she was.  She wasn’t one of those types to get a whole bunch of stylish maternity clothing — her line of work made that a ridiculous notion, since she was always dirty and sweaty and working a horse, anyway.  But she also made sure to wear clothing that fit, and she always looked really good however she dressed.

Like I said, I totally respect the way my trainer took care of herself when she was pregnant, and I hope I am that good about it when it’s my turn!
