As the most common type of pain experienced by people all over the world, every nine out of ten people will suffer from back pain at some time or another in their adult life. Perhaps one of the biggest problems with back pain is determining the cause of it. In addition to diseases and disorders which are more easily diagnosed, back pain is also caused by any number of irritations to the many muscles, nerves and joints that make up the spinal area.
Surgery is considered one of the most drastic options for people who suffer from back pain with an unknown cause. As such, many people turn to painkillers in the hopes that they will affect at least one of the numerous potential sources of their pain, whether it be the joints, nerves or muscles. However, the recurring cost, addictive nature, and negative side-effects of painkillers have left many people seeking alternative forms of therapy to achieve back pain relief.
Magnetic therapy has become a popular tool for back pain sufferers. Magnetized therapy products and devices come in a wide range of forms, such as cushions, mattresses, jewelry, patches, and even shoe inserts to help alleviate pain in virtually all areas of the body. In addition to their effectiveness, magnetic therapy products have become popular tools for pain management because, unlike painkillers, they do not cause dependency, can be used for unlimited periods of time, and come at a one-time cost.
