Ovulation Drugs Will Help Us Conceive

My husband and I just learned that we will have to consult an infertility specialist because I’m having trouble getting pregnant. We’ve been trying to get pregnant for over a year, and it’s not working, so I got a referral to a specialist at my last OB/GYN visit. Fortunately, there are no genetic disorders in either of our families that are affecting my ability to conceive. My OB seems to think that I just need a little help from ovulation drugs to get pregnant.

Finding that you suffer from infertility is not the easiest news to take, but it’s also not the worst. At least there is a whole branch of medicine devoted to helping couples like us, and for that we are so grateful. We have been studying all the material online to learn what the road ahead might be like, and it doesn’t seem that it will be too uncomfortable. There might be side effects from the fertility drugs, but considering what we stand to gain, the side effects will be worth it. We’ve wanted a baby for so long and now it looks like there’s hope on the horizon for my husband and me to start a family of our own.
