Work Place Attraction

There is a hot girl at work but I am not sure it is appropriate if I ask her out. I have been warned off office romance by many co-workers but she is worth the risk. She has long, brown (maybe the color is called chestnut) hair, little flower tattoos on the nape of her neck of which you only get a glimpse when she happens to pull her hair around or it falls forward when she leans over to look for something. She has lips like Scarlett Johansson, a heart shaped face, and kind yet attractive eyes.
There may even be a policy within my corporation that does not allow dating but like I said, hot girl is worth it. She is clearly athletic (a.k.a. amazing body) and if she didn’t work here I would swear she was a yoga instructor (maybe she teaches spin class on the side). She is bright too with a clever sense of humor. What more could a guy want.
Her attributes sum up easily: amazing hair means amazing health; tattoo means adventurous; lips and face I won’t grow tired of looking at; athletic is a synonym for an amazing body; bright means I will be able to have conversations versus listening to inane laughter at my not so funny jokes.

Have you gotten any hints from her that she is interested too? That might give you some confidence if and when you decide to ask her out. Does she touch your arm and flirt with you?
Tattoos do make someone a lot more attractive, especially if then are somewhat hidden and you don’t know why the person got them. Maybe you could strike up a conversation about tattoos, and ask her to go with you to a tattoo parlor to look for a tattoo for yourself.
Wow, Scarlett Johansson is a very attractive girl. I can guess why you would like her if she has lips like ScarJo’s! She is definitely my ‘girl crush’. I think that if you think you have a chance with your co-worker, you should go for it. You just have to be prepared to be rejected, which might make it awkward at work.
It does seem like you are just focusing on her physical attributes, like her lips, body, hair, tattoos, etc. Maybe you should get to know her better first, before you ask her out. If you are her friend first, then you have a better chance of going out on a date with her later.
You should definitely check out your employer’s policy before asking this girl on a date. Even if she does say yes and you two begin to date, you could get into severe trouble in your job. Also, if things end badly, if could get pretty awkward- this is why companies create no-fraternization policies in the first place.
