Planning Our Next Vacation

Aztec and Mayan step pyramids are a highlight of a South American vacationMy husband and I haven’t been on a real vacation since our honeymoon, over a year ago — a “real vacation” being defined as a trip where we actually go someplace and get away from family and work.  We’ve been talking about taking another vacation in the spring, though we’re not sure yet where we’ll go.

We’ve talked about going to a few different places.  One we’ve talked about is returning to the resort in the Pocono Mountains where we honeymooned, though that would mean we’d have to book a car rental on vacation.  We’ve also thought about going to South America — both of us are interested in ancient history and architectural sights there such as the Aztec pyramids.

We’ve also discussed some destinations a little closer to home — for instance, a road trip to Mesa Verde.  We were also recently told about a guided tour at the Ute Mountain Reservation that is supposedly spectacular.

Unfortunately, as indecisive as we are being, we will probably have to book a last minute vacation, because we won’t make up our minds until then!
