Organized Motorcycle Rides

I love going on just about any organized motorcycle ride. Almost always these rides are tied into some type of charity too, so you are actually doing something good while having fun. Many of these rides are poker runs that have several stops at all of which you pick a card. I have never won any of these, and usually end up with a pathetic hand, but it is still fun.
But finding out about when and where these rides are was kind of difficult. The way I used to do it was to go to my local Harley Davidson dealership because they have a table there that people put flyers on for these rides. Of course not everybody that is organizing these rides knows to put flyers at the dealerships, so I know I missed many opportunities because I simply didn’t know that there was a ride.
But now I am totally in the loop! There is a guy locally who has a web site that caters directly to people like me who love these rides. And to take it a step further he has an opt in list you can sign up for. You know, the whole targeted email lists thing. He sends out an email newsletter mid week, every week highlighting all of the upcoming rides as well as bike nights. It is so convenient.
