Stubborn Friend

I have been telling my buddy to outsource inside sales for the last five years. He has been dealing with cutbacks for a number of those years. When he took the next step and hired a call center consultant they told him the same exact thing. Not only that, but they told him that he needed to hire some sort of telesales consulting. After seeing his employee’s workflows, and their current system, the consultant said that there was a great deal of restructuring needed. The consultants were with Jake for about 4 weeks, and in that time period he was able to start increasing his incoming calls by over forty percent. I was floored by how fast the business turned around.

I’m glad that Jake went through the trouble of looking into different types of consulting services because I was really worried that his business wouldn’t survive the slowing economy. He had been dealing with poor sales for the last couple of months, and things just weren’t looking good. Now he has increased his business by over thirty percent, and he things he can actually squeak by a bit profitable in the third quarter if the numbers maintain the same.
