Your employees work hard. And the best way to keep them loyal, happy and industrious is to compensate them when appropriate. Here are four great ways to make sure your staff members keep up the good work!
1. Make work fun. Create a positive, open environment where people feel at ease in the office. Have them bring in pictures of their families and place them on a bulletin board. Run friendly contests and encourage socializing after work hours.
2. It is important to reward success, but be sure to reward effort, as well. If certain ideas fail, you don’t want your employees to lose confidence. Keep them producing by awarding good ideas.
3. Encourage employees to stay healthy. Wellness programs have been proven to boost company morale and keep folks out of the doctor’s office. Offer employees discounted gym memberships, have nutritionists visit the office to give seminars, on better eating habits, or offer immunization shots to ward off the flu.
4. An employee rewards program is another great way motivate your staff members. So, when one of your employees exceeds expectations reward them with a gift card, a shirt with the company logo, or tickets to a hockey game. Get the picture?

Keeping up employee morale is so important, especially these days, when everyone is worried about just keeping their jobs. I’m all for rewarding employees for hard work and good ideas, and for staying healthy by losing weight and stopping smoking.
If American Business can help stamp out the smoking habit, then I’m all for it! Give your employees incentives to quit smoking. Do whatever it takes.
Another good aspect of employee reward programs is that it encourages them to lose weight. The more they lose, the more they get. This helps them and cuts down on absenteism and health care costs.
Those are great suggestions! Employee reward programs help to keep workers motivated and also instill self confidence. The wellness program I think should also include mental health wellness, sometimes stress can discourage the best employee!
