Recipe for Relaxation

I am really busy, but every once in a while I like to make some ME time. Doing something relaxing is the best way to help me destress and go back to work with a fresh outlook. Since I’m a bookworm and I love hot baths and candles, my relaxation time usually involves at least a couple of those ingredients.
Often I start out with a hot bubble bath by candlelight. I love bubble bath so I usually have a couple of varieties to choose from; for the purpose of relaxation, usually I prefer something lavender, lilac, or rose scented. A few well-placed candles in the bathroom also add to the atmosphere of relaxation — again, I usually prefer lavender or similarly scented jar candles.
One thing I’ve noticed though that I hate about candles is how the soot gets on stuff if you burn a candle underneath anything… And actually, the soot tends to turn the candle wax black, too, which is pretty ugly. However I’ve heard of a new type of candles — scented soy candles — that produce less soot, and therefore burn much more cleanly than regular paraffin candles. They come in many different varieties, so aromatherapy soy candles would probably work perfectly for my relaxation routine.
Sometimes I also choose to read in the bathtub. Some people wonder how I can read in the tub, but I’ve been doing it since I was in my early teens and I love it. I tend to get bored in the bathtub, so reading forces me to stay in the hot water and relax. Also, since it’s hard to find time to read, this is a perfect opportunity. However, if I opt not to read in the bathtub, I will turn the bathroom lights off and bathe by candlelight. Then when I get out, after putting on aromatherapy scented lotion and donning a satin nightgown, I’ll finish off the night curled up with a book in a comfortable chair.

Do More by Combining Your Interests

Spend a day paying close attention to the conversations of the people around you and there’s a good chance that you will hear more than one person lament that he doesn’t have time to do all of the things that he likes to do. We lead busy lives and it really is difficult to fit everything in. However, you can do more of what you love if you get creative in combining your interests into activities that will let you explore more than one interest at once.
For example, let’s say that a few of the things that you’re really interested in right now are wholesale travel, home-based business opportunities, online social networking and investment ideas. Those things don’t sound like they go together but if you do your research you’ll discover solutions like P1D. This is a home-based travel business by Synergy One that you can invest in which relies on social networking to develop profits. All of your interests are present in just doing this one activity.
This is just one example of a way to combine different interests into one activity so that you can do more of what you love without increasing the time that you spend on activities. You’ll have to get creative and do some research to combine some of your interests but it can be done. Think outside of that box so that you can spend time on the things that interest you.

‘Tis the Season

With summer nearly halfway over, I feel compelled to mention that it is building season — so if you want to build a garage or a custom home, it’s either start now or wait until next year.
I was reading something the other day that mentioned how long it takes to build just a detached garage — seven months, I think it was. I was really surprised that it takes so long. My husband and I have been wanting to build a garage, but it seems that if we don’t hire a FL custom home builder soon, we might as well wait until next year.
And of course, if it’s a custom home you’re wanting to build, you’ll need to leave even longer a period of time.
