3 Reasons Why You Need a Cell Phone

Although it seems that everyone has mobile phones these days, there are still folks who are holding out on us, refusing to move into the cellular generation. If you are one of them, here are three reasons why you need a cell phone — even if it’s only a pay as you go type phone.
- For emergencies. Say your car breaks down on the side of the road late at night. You could be waiting for a long time for someone to pull over and help, and of course there is always the fear of who might come along, especially if you are a woman. Cell phones are great in these cases, because you can call for help yourself, whether that is a friend, parents, significant other, or a tow truck.
- For last minutes changes of plans. Another time a cell phone is useful is when you are supposed to meet someone but can’t make it, or you have to cancel a doctor’s appointment. Or say you get stuck in traffic on your way to work — with a cell phone you can let them know that you won’t be there in time for that important meeting they’ve been talking about all week.
- For work. If you own your own business or have a job that requires a lot of attention from you, a cell phone can be an invaluable — though sometimes regrettable — link to the office. As a small business owner, a business cell allows clients and employees to reach you at any time. Some offices may also provide their employees with a cell phone or require that they have one, so that they can get in touch with them in an emergency if needed.
No matter how reluctant you are to move into the technological age, there are actually some very good reasons to have a cell phone. Can you think of any other ways in which having a cell phone can make life easier for you?

If you want your business to succeed then you need to get good at marketing. The nice thing about this is that there are a lot of different ways to market a business. This means that you can choose to use the methods that you’re most comfortable with when marketing your business.
Three smart ways to market a business might be:
- Buy mailing lists and send advertisements out to the people on the lists. Businesses have been using consumer mailing lists for marketing for a long time. That’s because they work.
- Do some cold-calling to tell people about your business. Most people don’t like cold calling. However, some people love it. If you like it then do it to spread the word about your business.
- Teach a class or write a book. Do something that establishes you as an expert in your field. This causes people to find you more credible. This makes them interested in your business.
As you can see, these three methods of marketing are all very different. You don’t necessarily have to use marketing practices that you’re not comfortable with. You just need to find ways to market your business regularly so that you can keep getting new customers coming through the door.
Respect Your Romantic Partner

Most relationships fail. That’s a sad fact. This is due to the fact that people change and move on. It’s also due to a number of other factors. If you’re struggling to keep your relationship going then there is probably one big thing that you’re not doing. You’re not respecting your romantic partner. Relationships that are based on mutual respect are going to last the test of time more often than not.
Respecting your partner means respecting all of his choices and interests. It means that you don’t make fun of his echo1 airsoft gun obsession even though you don’t understand it. You may even buy him a new airsoft gun as a gift because you know it’s something that he likes. Respecting your partner means supporting your partner in everything from hobbies to life changes.
Respecting your partner also means listening to him. It means that you need to stop assuming that you’re on opposite sides of a problem. It means working together to solve any issue that comes up. This starts by actually hearing what the other person has to say. When you respect your partner’s life and you respect your partner’s opinions, you set the stage for a relationship that can stand strong over time.
Boutique Clothing for Kids

I always try to get my clothing from small stores. I either shop at thrift stores or boutique clothing stores. However, I always got kids’ clothes at more traditional chain stores. Then suddenly I realized that this was ridiculous. The same reasons that I love getting my clothing from boutique stores are reasons that we should get kids’ clothes at these stores as well.
Great reasons to get boutique clothing for kids include:
- You support small businesses. That’s a great thing to teach your kids.
- There are more unique options. Check out the pettiskirts by Kaiya Eve if you want to see some really unique boutique clothing for kids.
- You’ll get better quality clothing. Boutique clothing sometimes costs a bit more than chain store clothing but it lasts a whole lot longer. Your kids will outgrow these items before the items grow old.
- It’s a better shopping experience. A lot of parents dislike shopping with kids. Big stores are overwhelming with kids in tow. Shopping at boutique stores with kids is actually fun.
- You get to be choosier. The smaller array of choices lets you make more conscious decisions about what to buy for your kids.
I can’t believe that I ever bought kids’ clothes anywhere but in boutique stores!
Common Backwards Things

We like to think that society functions in a nice, neat, linear fashion. The truth of the matter is that there are always exceptions to every rule. Nothing always goes in a straight line. And, in fact, there are a lot of common things in this society that go backwards from what we expect of them.
Salmon are the perfect example of this. It is totally natural for salmon to swim upstream. We don’t think of this as normal in general for fish. Everything else swims downstream to spawn right? And yet the salmon goes backwards and that’s natural for the fish and it’s fine.
Another example from nature is the Rhodesian Ridgeback. This dog has a line of hairs on its back that grow in the opposite direction from all of the other hair on its body. It creates the visible “ridge” on its back. That’s not natural to most dogs but it’s natural for this breed.
What does this mean for humans? I think it means that most humans are going to go along in the neat little path of life. They’ll do the school, grad school, marriage, babies thing. But that’s not right for everyone. Some people will do it backwards and I think that nature is telling us that that’s okay.
